This isn’t a 100% confirmation but defiantly something to take us one step closer to the confirmation. We have all probably guessed that the Elite should be making a comeback in the Halo 3 multiplayer but Bungie have yet to confirm this and with new armor types adding to the equation Elites could be removed...

But I was recently listening to Bungie’s latest podcast where they began to talk about Luke’s infamous loss against Joseph Staten, you may remember this being mentioned in one of Bungie weekly what-updates. If not listen to the Bungie’s podcast here. Joseph Staten begins to explain the situation saying:

"There was admittedly a bug with the Elite’s animation"

Now this can’t be taken as confirmation as it could just be for their current build of the game and it actually won’t see the light of day. But this takes us that little bit closer to confirmation. What do you think?
