‘Hmmm’ is all we can say. We think that there is something very wrong with this. Basically, Microsoft have apparently sent a flyer around saying that a 60Gb system with 3 months Xbox Live subscription as well as a headset will be available for, wait for it, 79 Euros.
No, that wasn’t a typo on our part, you read right. A new console available for 79 Euros, which is the equivalent to $116. Where we’re from, only £62, and that is where the problem is. Currently, brand new games on the Xbox 360 cost £50 at our version of EB Games, so a console for £62 is pretty cheap.
Maybe the flyer is supposed to say 179 Euros? This would make a lot more sense because that will total to around $260/£140 and mean that it will be the cheapest system in the Xbox 360 line-up. I guess we will have to wait and see…
